Basic Description: We are a growing construction consulting firm specializing in representing owners on their projects. We are seeking a project engineer / project manager with 3-5 years of relevant experience to work as an owner's representative on projects ranging from $1,000,000 to $100,000,000.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the project executive in all aspects of construction project management
- Monitor the schedules of both the project architect and contractor
- Review submittals on behalf of the owner
- Work with the architect and contractor to resolve design and construction problems
- Reviewing plans & specifications, assisting with billing, tracking production, creating work plans, identifying hazards, working with & supporting field personnel to ensure projects completion
- Perform quality control inspections
Qualifications/Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or a related major
- Three years experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry
- Experience working on federal government projects, especially Department of Navy projects is a plus
- Experience on athletic facilities is a plus
- Must have a good knowledge about construction divisions, specifications and drawings
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and resolve issues/problems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project
- Bluebeam Construction related education is a plus
- Must have the ability to pass background checks for Government Facility Access
