HiFyve is hiring an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist in the manufacturing industry in Decatur County, Tennessee!
Salary: Approximately $95,000–$100,000, depending on experience, plus a 5% annual bonus
Schedule: First shift
Location: Decatur County, TN | On-site | Relocation assistance may be considered
Position Overview
Take ownership of the EHS program at a manufacturing facility with approximately 285 employees. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you’ll have the opportunity to strengthen safety practices, engage employees, and drive improvements throughout the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site environmental, health, and safety programs and compliance activities.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations; drive corrective actions to completion.
- Deliver training and build employee participation in safety.
- Maintain regulatory records, reports, and permit documentation.
- Manage workers’ compensation and return-to-work activities.
- Partner with plant leadership to address hazards and improve long-term EHS performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Manufacturing EHS experience required.
- Related bachelor’s degree preferred, with at least four years of EHS experience; without a degree, eight or more years of industrial manufacturing experience that includes EHS responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements and manufacturing hazards.
- Hands-on, approachable style with strong training, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Microsoft Office proficiency; OSHA 10-hour training preferred.
- Ability to work on the manufacturing floor and wear required PPE.
