Addiction Recovery Technician

Full-time or Part-time | On-site | [Shift to be confirmed] | $18-$21 per hour

Shift differential for overnight included in hourly rate

ABOUT NORTHSTAR REGIONAL

NorthStar Regional is a substance use disorder and mental health treatment provider dedicated to delivering exceptional, compassionate care at our campuses across the Twin Cities metro.

THE ROLE

We are seeking an Addiction Recovery Technician to provide day-to-day support and help maintain a safe, structured treatment environment for clients. The work includes direct client contact, routine facility tasks, and ongoing communication with clinical staff throughout the shift.

Part-time hours are available up to 24 hours per week. Full-time hours may also be available.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Support clients with day-to-day care, communication, observation, and reporting.

· Assist with admissions, including same-gender urine screens and pat-downs when required.

· Administer or assist with self-medication after completing required training.

· Use de-escalation and crisis-management procedures in accordance with program policy.

· Prepare rooms, conduct room searches, and complete routine cleaning duties.

· Communicate supply needs and support cross-training or additional shifts when needed.

REQUIREMENTS

· At least 18 years of age.

· Ability to complete a DHS background check and receive clearance to work in human service programs.

· Current TB/Mantoux screening.

· Ability to complete required medication-administration training within the first month.

PREFERRED

· Experience as a CNA, PCA, Direct Support Professional, sober home manager, or resident assistant.

· Experience in withdrawal management, hospital, memory care, or senior care settings.
