Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving students from PK through 8th grade at a single school site near Midway, FL. As a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you'll play a crucial role in supporting a caseload of approximately 75-80 students, helping them achieve communication and academic success within an encouraging, collaborative school setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- CCC-SLP credential preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs of PK-8th grade students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that foster student progress and growth
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote generalization of skills in the classroom and at home
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Contribute to IEP meetings and provide input on speech/language goals
- Offer support and resources to educators and parents to optimize student outcomes
