WOODWORKER (Brooklyn, NY)
Starting Pay: $30-$35/hr.
JOB DUTIES:
- Build, assemble, and finish custom wood doors according to specifications and quality standards
- Operate woodworking machinery, hand tools, and measuring equipment safely and efficiently
- Read shop drawings and specifications to complete projects accurately
- Perform precise measurements and ensure accurate cutting and assembly of wood components
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years of woodworking, door manufacturing, cabinet making, or millwork experience
- Mechanical aptitude and experience using woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Ability to measure, calculate dimensions, and accurately read a tape measure
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship and safety
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications
