Job Description

Job Description

Tri-City Group is seeking a Safety Technology Administrator to lead the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of the technology platforms that support our safety program. This role owns the safety side of our technology ecosystem — from configuring and maintaining safety-related use of Procore, to overseeing our wearable electrical-hazard detection program with Proxxi, to evaluating emerging tools like AI-driven analytics as they apply to safety. The ideal candidate is part safety professional, part technologist: someone who understands field operations well enough to know which tools will actually get used, and who has the technical curiosity to evaluate what's next.

This role reports to the Director of Safety & Training and serves as the conduit between our safety program and the technology that supports it — ensuring every platform is configured correctly, adopted consistently across operating companies, and delivering data leadership can actually use.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

Procore — Safety Utilization

  • Serve as the safety-side administrator for Procore, configuring and maintaining safety-related workflows, forms, and reporting (e.g., incident reports, inspections, observations, JHAs).
  • Train operating company personnel on safety-related Procore functionality and troubleshoot day-to-day usage issues.
  • Monitor safety data captured in Procore, identify gaps or inconsistencies in usage, and drive improvements in how the tool is used across operating companies.
  • Partner with IT and Procore administrators on other teams to ensure safety configurations align with broader company use of the platform.

Proxxi & Wearable Safety Technology

  • Own the day-to-day management of the Proxxi wearable voltage-detection program, including device deployment, worker onboarding, and ongoing device maintenance.
  • Monitor the Proxxi dashboard for alert trends, near-miss data, and usage patterns; translate that data into actionable recommendations for field leadership.
  • Coordinate with operating companies to ensure devices are properly assigned, charged, and worn as intended, and address adoption barriers as they arise.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness over time and recommend expansion, adjustments, or additional wearable safety technology as needs evolve.

AI & Emerging Safety Technology

  • Research and evaluate artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies with potential safety applications — such as predictive analytics, computer vision, or automated hazard detection.
  • Pilot promising tools on a limited basis, measure results, and build the business case for broader rollout when warranted. Work closely with TCG IT and Technology teams to ensure compliance.
  • Stay current on safety technology trends across the construction, utility, and electrical industries, including within the Quanta family of companies, to keep Tri-City Group at the forefront of safety innovation.

Technology Program Management

  • Maintain an inventory of all safety-related technology, software, and programs in use across Tri-City Group, along with their purpose, ownership, and adoption status.
  • Develop implementation and training plans for new safety technology, ensuring smooth rollout across operating companies.
  • Establish and track metrics that measure the effectiveness and return on investment of safety technology tools.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors supporting safety technology platforms, managing relationships, renewals, and support requests.
  • Gather feedback from field employees and safety leadership to continuously improve how technology is deployed and used.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the Director of Safety & Training and broader safety team to align technology initiatives with overall safety program goals.
  • Work with IT, operations, and operating company leadership to ensure safety technology integrates smoothly into existing workflows.
  • Support other safety and training initiatives with data, reporting, and technology expertise as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a safety, technology, or data-focused role, ideally within construction, utility, electrical, or industrial operations.
  • Comfortable learning and administering software platforms; experience with Procore or similar construction management software strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
  • Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to support technology adoption across a diverse, multi-company workforce.
  • Comfortable with periodic day travel to operating company locations and job sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with Procore administration, particularly safety-related modules.
  • Experience with wearable safety technology, IoT devices, or connected safety platforms (e.g., Proxxi or similar) or any other safety management systems.
  • Familiarity with AI or data analytics tools and their practical application to safety or operations.
  • Experience within the electrical construction, industrial, or specialty contracting industry.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This role is primarily office-based with periodic travel to job sites and operating company locations to support technology rollout, training, and field evaluation. Site visits may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions, uneven terrain, and proximity to heavy equipment and energized systems. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and is required at all times while in the field. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen and background check. Tri-City Group is an equal-opportunity employer.
