Title: Director of Enterprise Data Management – (Subcontract at an NRI)

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Enterprise Data Management to lead our organization’s data initiatives as Head of Enterprise Data Management. This strategic role is responsible for shaping the future of how data empowers decision-making, innovation, and growth throughout the company. You will build and lead a high-performing team, establish enterprise-wide data governance standards, and ensure our data assets are secure, accessible, and actionable to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and implement a comprehensive enterprise data strategy that aligns with overall business objectives.
· Lead governance, data quality, and compliance efforts across all departments.
· Oversee initiatives to enhance data literacy and promote a data-driven culture throughout the organization.
· Collaborate with Database Operations and business units to optimize data utilization and value.
· Assess, select, and deploy modern data platforms, technologies, and tools.
· Ensure strict adherence to data privacy regulations such as GDPR, PHI, and CUI.
· Contribute to strategic and operational decision-making as an active member of the senior management team.
· Manage and mentor a diverse team of report engineers, analysts, and data governance specialists.
· Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
Reporting Structure & Collaboration
· Direct Reports: Data Analysts, Data Reporting Specialists, Data Scientists
· Advisory Role: Development Operations, Database Operations
· Collaborates With: System Administrators, System Engineers, Programmers, Network and Security Engineers
· Works Closely With: Developers, Programmers, Project Managers, Business Analysts
Experience and Qualifications
· Minimum of 10 years’ experience in data management, governance, or analytics leadership roles
· ITIL Certification required
· Preferred certifications: Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP)
Education & Certifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Skills and Competencies
· Demonstrated ability to inspire, energize, and build relationships at all organizational levels
· Proven track record in creating and executing enterprise data strategies
· Expertise in data architecture, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and on-premises data lakes
· Thorough understanding of data privacy laws and regulatory frameworks
· Outstanding communication and stakeholder management capabilities
· Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving transformative change
· Commitment to high work standards and reliable follow-through
· Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to escalate issues for resolution as needed
· Skilled in coaching and mentoring junior staff
Work Schedule & Travel
· Core hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; flexibility required for evenings and weekends to meet position goals and deliverables
· Occasional travel to various Client locations as needed
