Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement embedded software and firmware for manufacturing automation and control systems.
- Integrate embedded systems with industrial equipment, PLCs, SCADA, and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in embedded hardware and software on the production floor to minimize downtime.
- Develop and execute test plans for embedded systems to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance in manufacturing environments.
- Optimize embedded code for real-time performance, efficiency, and robustness in high-volume production settings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, production) to define system requirements and specifications.
- Maintain and update existing embedded systems, including firmware upgrades and hardware modifications, to improve operational efficiency.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems, including real-time operating systems (RTOS) and bare-metal programming.
- Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M) and peripheral interfacing (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP) for manufacturing automation.
- Ability to read schematics, debug hardware-software integration issues, and utilize tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Familiarity with the full embedded software development lifecycle, including version control (Git) and testing methodologies.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
- Familiarity with PLC programming, SCADA, or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Experience implementing IoT solutions or Industry 4.0 initiatives in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508) or relevant industry certifications.
- Experience designing or supporting automated test fixtures for production environments.
