Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday (Weekends as needed) 8-12 hour shifts
Location: On-site at various locations within driving distance of Charleston, SC

What You’ll Do
- Daily Communication & Coordination:
- Liaise with General Superintendents, crews, and subcontractors
- Ensure project needs, workforce, and timelines are met
- Workforce & Equipment Management:
- Oversee staffing and equipment logistics
- Resolve scheduling and performance issues
- Safety Leadership:
- Enforce safety protocols and lead daily hazard meetings
- Conduct stretching routines and weekly toolbox talks
- Quality Control:
- Inspect work for compliance and quality
- Verify materials and assemblies
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate daily logs, schedules, and timecards
- Report safety incidents and equipment issues
- Subcontractor Oversight:
- Schedule and monitor subcontractor performance
- Training & Development:
- Participate in and promote ongoing training for yourself and your team
- Project Planning & Coordination:
- Attend pre-construction meetings and assist with project planning
- Provide on-site leadership throughout the project lifecycle
What We’re Looking For
- Experience:
- 2–5 years as a Superintendent/Foreman in earthwork or civil construction
- Heavy Equipment Operation Experience
- Fine Grading with GPS experience
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient with construction plans, specifications, and legal documents
- Comfortable with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and mobile devices
- Communication:
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Ability to resolve issues and clearly convey information
- Problem-Solving:
- Assess site issues and develop effective solutions
- Leadership:
- Manage and motivate field personnel
- Ensure high standards and efficient task completion
What to Expect
- Supervisory Responsibility:
- Directly manage project site staff and lead personnel
- Work Schedule:
- 8–12 hour shifts, Monday–Friday
- Occasional weekends as needed
- Other Requirements:
- Pre-employment drug test and background check
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
