Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in all phases of workers compensation litigation including discovery, trial, and appeal processes.
- Develop and execute effective defense strategies that protect the interests of our clients.
- Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations pertaining to workers compensation for use in legal proceedings.
- Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in accordance with the best legal strategies.
- Conduct depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts.
- Perform legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California State Bar.
- 2+ years of experience in workers’ compensation.
- Extensive knowledge of workers compensation laws and procedures.
