Lead Carpenter / Working Foreman

$32–$35/hour | Full-time | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Company vehicle provided
About Us
Brady Remodeling is a general contractor handling residential and commercial renovations throughout Monmouth County and nearby areas. We're growing and looking for a skilled, organized lead carpenter who takes pride in quality work and wants to build a long-term career with us, including a clear path into project management.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll work with one helper and keep 2–3 active job sites moving, taking on much of the finish carpentry work. You'll report directly to the owner and/or project manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform finish carpentry and trim work, including baseboard, casing, crown, doors, built-ins, and general interior finish work
- Install LVP (luxury vinyl plank) flooring, including subfloor prep, layout, transitions, and clean finishing details
- Handle general renovation carpentry and other trades as needed based on your experience
- Lead and direct one helper: assign daily tasks, show proper techniques, and keep work moving
- Manage your time and crew across 2–3 active job sites
- Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized, with tools and materials accounted for
- Review scope of work before each phase and flag missing materials, conflicts, or issues early
- Communicate progress, schedule changes, and material needs to the project manager
- Complete punch-list items so every job is finished to a high standard
- Represent Brady Remodeling professionally with homeowners and commercial clients on site
Requirements
- 7-15 years of experience in carpentry, renovations, or related construction trades
- Strong finish carpentry skills; LVP flooring experience strongly preferred
- Excellent attention to detail. Your work should look right the first time
- Very organized, able to juggle multiple jobs without losing track of tasks, materials, or schedules
- Experience leading or working alongside a helper
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Own basic hand tools
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
