Your Mission

As a Farrowing (Day One) Technician on day shift in Longford, KS, you’ll help ensure newborn piglets get a strong, healthy start. This entry-level, full-time role exists to support animal care standards through consistent, hands-on work.

Key responsibilities include:
- Provide attentive care to newborn piglets and support early-life health needs
- Follow established protocols for handling, sanitation, and recordkeeping
- Monitor animals closely and communicate concerns promptly to the team
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and ready for the next set of tasks

Required qualifications/skills:
- Dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working onsite around animals
- Able to learn quickly with on-the-job training and follow written/verbal instructions
- Physically able to stand, bend, lift, and work in barn environments

A First-Shift Rhythm

You’ll start your morning checking in with the crew, then step into a fast-moving barn environment where priorities can shift quickly. Throughout the shift, you’ll rotate between focused animal observation, quick updates with teammates, and keeping your space set for smooth transitions. Expect steady movement, clear routines, and moments where calm attention makes all the difference. By the end of the day, you’ll wrap up notes, reset for tomorrow, and head out knowing your work helped set the tone for a strong start.
