Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces.
- Mix and match paint colors according to specifications using both manual and computerized systems.
- Apply paint using spray guns, ensuring an even coat and smooth finish.
- Perform touch-ups, buffing, and polishing to achieve a flawless final product.
- Inspect all completed work for quality control, ensuring that it meets company standards.
- Maintain and clean painting equipment and spray guns.
- Follow safety protocols, including the use of PPE and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Monitor inventory levels of paints and supplies, informing management of any needs.
IDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESSES THESE ATTRIBUTES:
- Proven experience as an auto body painter or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with automotive paint systems.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and state inspection license
