Position Overview: At Global Advisor Group, we recognize that our team members are our greatest asset. Your diverse talents will be valued and directly contribute to our firms success. As a Financial Advisor, you will use specialized knowledge and skills obtained through experience, specialized training, and certification to deliver comprehensive financial planning services to a select group of the client base. The client base is primarily comprised of American Expats living in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and some parts of the middle east. Some international travel to these regions is required. This is an onsite position, and we will only consider candidates that will work 5 days/week in our Reston, VA office.
Knowledge/Requirements
Minimum 4-year college degree and 3-5 years of prior client facing industry experience.
SIE exam, Series 7 & Series 63/65 or, Series 66 licenses preferred or ability to obtain within first 6 months.
Clean FBI background check and credit check
Permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
Proficient knowledge of financial planning concepts and software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally 2-4 times/year for 1-2 weeks at a time.
Demonstrated willingness to go above and beyond for outstanding client support.
Polished, friendly, professional demeanor.
Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure to meet very short deadlines.
Ability to prioritize, track and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Ability to be flexible in navigating changing deadlines and priorities with skill and grace.
Ability to work quickly and accurately with client forms.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, to resolve issues independently to attain desired results.
Ability to collaborate well with managers, administrators, team members, home office staff, and clients to accomplish goals.

Daily Job Duties and Responsibilities
Is responsible for maintaining, supporting and developing client relationships in their designated region.
Works closely with Team Lead and/or Servicing Advisors to support and grow client relationships.
Assumes direct responsibility for many aspects of servicing and maintaining client relationships.
Works closely with clients to help develop deep and enduring relationships.
Notes changes in clients lives which could affect their financial plan and applies this information in a timely and effective manner.
Effectively communicates financial planning concepts, recommendations and market conditions to clients.
Knowledgeable in solutions and services specific to the client base.
Performs daily account administrative functions.
Prepares, reviews and presents client portfolio review packets and proposals.
Identifies issues or opportunities in clients and their portfolios and seeks to apply workable solutions.
Is aware of and adheres to industry compliance requirements and firm and branch policies.
Seeks opportunities to expand financial services offered to clients while growing and consolidating client assets.
Seeks opportunities to generate referral business from clients colleagues, friends and family.
Attends client events-occasional evenings and weekends.
Willingly performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
