- ELEVI is seeking a Principle Systems Engineer with experience as a ISSO for a high priority and highly visible malware project. The individual will support a highly driven team of other engineers in sustaining and developing new tools and capabilities for this project. The position will provide a challenging dynamic environment that directly supports new mission capability. The ISSO will be the primary security steward for one or more mission critical information systems. The ISSO is responsible for ensuring that all assigned systems remain compliant with applicable federal, DoD, and agency security requirements throughout their lifecycle. This role will develop, maintain, and assess security documentation, coordinate certification & accreditation activities, and serve as the key liaison between system owners, senior government officials, and technical teams.
Required skills/experience:
• Experience creating, updating and maintaining SSPs
• Experience with compliance and certifying a system
• Experience providing support to SSP re-accreditation
• Ability to provide STE/STN compliance support
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level 1 or higher is required.
Some of your day-to-day activities:
- Provide support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance program.
- Provides support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
- Maintains operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.
- Assists with the management of security aspects of the information system and performs day-to-day security operations of the system.
- Evaluate security solutions to ensure the y meet security requirements for processing classified information.
- Performs vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.
- Provides confirmation management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
- Manages changes to system and assesses the security impact of those changes.
- Prepares and reviews documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs). Supports security authorization activities in compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework (NIST RMF).
Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$184,400 - $220,300
