Migration Role: BigPanda AIOps Engineer / SME

Location: Chicago, IL On-site

Role Objective Lead and execute the migration from IBM NetCool (OMNIbus) to BigPanda, modernizing legacy event management into an AIOps-driven incident intelligence platform with reduced alert noise, improved correlation, and tighter ITSM integration.

Scope of Work

• Assess current IBM NetCool setup (ObjectServer, probes, enrichment, correlation rules)

• Design and execute NetCool ? BigPanda migration (phased or controlled cutover).

• Configure BigPanda ingestion, normalization, deduplication, enrichment, and correlation.

• Integrate BigPanda with monitoring tools and ITSM (e.g., ServiceNow).

• Tune correlation patterns to reduce noise and improve incident accuracy.

• Support testing, go live, hypercare, and operational handover.

Must Have Skills (Screening Mandatory)

• Hands on BigPanda implementation experience (not just exposure).

• Strong IBM NetCool / OMNIbus background (event flow, rules, probes, enrichment).

• Proven experience in AIOps / Event Correlation / Incident Intelligence.

• ITSM integration experience (ServiceNow preferred).

• Scripting & integrations: REST APIs, Python/Shell.

• Strong understanding of ITIL-based incident & operations workflows.

Good to Have

• Experience with other AIOps tools (Moogsoft, Splunk ITSI, OpsRamp).

• Exposure to cloud / hybrid monitoring environment
