Were growing and looking to add a client-focused, tech-savvy problem solver to our Service team in the role of IT Service Technician!

What is an IT Service Technician?

Youre the kind of person who loves helping people and solving puzzles. When someones tech isnt working, you dont panic you dig in, troubleshoot, and fix it. You enjoy supporting users, diagnosing issues, and keeping systems running smoothly. Most of your work will happen remotely, but youll occasionally head on-site to lend a hand with equipment setup or troubleshooting.

As an IT Service Technician at Internetworks, youll play a key role in delivering exceptional day-to-day support to our managed clients. Youll keep their systems healthy, their users happy, and their technology aligned with best practices all while learning and growing alongside a sharp, supportive team.

What Youll Do

As an IT Service Technician, youll troubleshoot issues, communicate clearly, and make sure every client interaction ends with confidence and relief.

  • Remote Support: Resolve user and device issues via phone, chat, or remote session.
  • Ticket Management: Accurately document work, time, and notes in ConnectWise.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Handle common IT challenges workstations, printers, mobile devices, and networks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our Dispatcher, Service Manager, and Client Account Managers to keep service efficient and client communication seamless.
  • Knowledge Building: Learn new systems and technologies while improving documentation and consistency.
  • Occasional On-Site Visits: From time to time, assist with hardware swaps, installations, or network checks at client sites.


What You Bring

Must-Haves

  • 12 years of IT support experience (help desk or MSP preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills you explain tech clearly and patiently
  • Familiarity with:
    • Microsoft Windows desktop environments
    • Microsoft 365 apps and admin basics
    • Networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, VPNs, switches, etc.)
    • Mobile device setup (iPhone/Android)
  • Attention to detail and solid documentation habits
  • Reliable transportation for occasional client visits

Nice-to-Haves

  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ (or willingness to earn within 6 months well support you)
  • Experience with ConnectWise or similar PSA systems
  • Exposure to Azure AD, Intune, or modern device management
  • Familiarity with Apple OS or Linux environments


A Day in the Life

Youll start your day reviewing tickets, tackling remote support requests, and helping users get back on track. Youll troubleshoot everything from login errors to network hiccups, document your work, and collaborate with teammates. Every day is different, but the goal is always the same: keep clients running smoothly and feeling supported.
