Senior Full-Charge Bookkeeper

Mead Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join our

team. This position reports directly to the President and plays a critical role in maintaining the

financial integrity and operational success of the company.


The Ideal Candidate

This position is best suited for an experienced accounting professional who is comfortable taking

ownership of the company's day-to-day financial operations with minimal supervision. The ideal

candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, accountable, and committed to accuracy, integrity,

and meeting deadlines.


What You'll Be Responsible For

• Full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Payroll processing and payroll tax compliance

• Sales tax reporting and timely tax payments

• Preparation and issuance of W-2s and 1099s

• General Ledger maintenance and account reconciliations

• Monthly financial statements and management reports

• Job cost accounting and construction billing

• Lien waiver administration

• Purchase order tracking

• Insurance certificates, bonds, and policy renewals

• Working directly with the company's CPA during tax preparation and year-end reporting

• Maintaining accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and

deadlines


Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Accounting required; Bachelor's degree preferred

• 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience

• Construction accounting experience strongly preferred

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Strong understanding of payroll, payroll taxes, sales tax, and financial reporting

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities


Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday (schedule to be discussed during interview).
