Personal Travel Planner
Start Date: September 8, 2025
Type: 90-day temporary assignment (with potential opportunities after)
Pay: $21.63/hour + quarterly incentive after hired permanently
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hrs/week – likely 9am–6pm PST (weekends 7am–4pm PST)
Do you love travel, great customer experiences, and the idea of helping people plan dream vacations? We’re looking for a Personal Travel Planner to help guests book unforgettable cruise experiences. You’ll be the go-to contact from the first “hello” to the “bon voyage!”—ensuring each guest feels taken care of every step of the way.
What You’ll Do
- Book travel, prepare invoices, and follow up with guests before and after their trip.
- Answer questions, recommend options, and resolve concerns with professionalism and care.
- Promote our vacation packages through inbound and outbound calls.
- Build long-term guest relationships by understanding travel needs and preferences.
- Use effective sales techniques (cross-selling, up-selling) to meet sales goals.
- Maintain accurate records in our reservation system.
- Work with other departments to ensure guests have all the info they need.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 3+ years in sales and/or customer service (travel industry experience a plus).
- Skills: Strong sales closing ability, excellent communication, and top-notch customer service skills.
- Tech: Comfortable using reservation systems, Microsoft Office, and online communication tools.
- Mindset: Friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and able to stay calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of world geography and destinations is a plus.
- Able to work weekends and a flexible schedule when needed.
