Senior System Administrator TS/SCI with Polygraph
We're looking for a Senior System Administrator to manage and optimize mission-critical systems supporting national defense. In this role, you'll be responsible for the health, performance, and compliance of development and test environments leading the way in secure, automated infrastructure management.
You'll work across a complex technology landscape that includes Linux, VMware, Docker, Ansible, Active Directory, GitLab, and more. If you're a proactive problem solver with deep infrastructure experience and an active TS/SCI with poly, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do:

Oversee day-to-day operations of critical IT systems, including servers, storage, and virtual infrastructure

Manage configuration baselines, patch deployments, system compliance, and performance optimization

Lead automated deployments using tools like Ansible and orchestrate secure infrastructure updates

Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu) and support Active Directory environments

Design and support containerized and virtualized systems using VMware/ESXi and Docker

Collaborate with developers, ISSOs, and security teams to ensure systems align with compliance frameworks (e.g., XACTA, BISCOTTI, Latte-Arte)

Monitor system health and security posture using tools such as Nessus

Provide stakeholder updates, document technical processes, and support incident response efforts

Contribute to CI/CD workflows via GitLab and support collaborative planning with the Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)

Serve as a primary point of contact for troubleshooting, system upgrades, and compliance audits
What You Bring:
-
20+ years of system administration experience supporting complex programs and secure environments

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or 4 additional years of relevant experience)

Strong Linux administration and scripting background

Hands-on experience with GitLab, VMware, Ansible, Docker, and security tools such as Nessus

Familiarity with security frameworks and tools like BISCOTTI, XACTA, and Latte-Arte

Knowledge of network security architecture and disaster recovery practices

Working knowledge of IAT II compliance (e.g., Security+ certification)

Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including SharePoint

Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph (required)
