Make an impact every day supporting students as a contracted paraprofessional in a vibrant educational setting near Dover, NH. This rewarding opportunity has immediate openings for five dedicated paraprofessionals to work in a mix of 1:1 and classroom-based roles at the middle and high school levels. Assignments run through June 16, 2027, providing both stability and a chance to build lasting skills in educational support.
Your day will be spent assisting students during either middle school hours (7:10am–2:10pm) or high school hours (7:30am–2:30pm), with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day, for a total of 32.5 hours per week. School experience is highly preferred, but if you bring a passion for helping youth succeed and a high school diploma, you are encouraged to apply. No additional certifications or advanced degrees are required.
Key Qualifications:
- High school diploma (must provide proof)
- Prior experience supporting students in school or related settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers and staff
- Patience, compassion, and flexibility in working with diverse learners
- Ability to provide three completed professional references, including your most recent manager, prior to interviewing
Role Overview:
- Provide instructional, emotional, and behavioral support to students in 1:1 and group settings
- Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson implementation
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
- Monitor student progress, offer encouragement, and help maintain a safe school atmosphere
