What's your day like?

The LTRC Eviction Specialist at Housing Solutions Tulsa plays a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of the Landlord-Tenant Resource Center. This position emphasizes effective communication with internal staff, external partners, stakeholders, and community members. Reporting to the LTRC Program Manager, the specialist will help implement and coordinate activities within the Social Services HUB, focusing on eviction prevention. Responsibilities include engaging with the latest eviction issues, facilitating client access to resources, and maintaining thorough documentation of client interactions. The role also involves attending partner events, responding to incoming inquiries, and assisting clients in identifying their needs while making referrals to appropriate community partners.

Additionally, the Eviction Specialist will contribute to partner engagement and recruitment by researching new eviction prevention resources and participating in cross-agency visits. This position is essential in advancing Housing Solutions' mission to provide compassionate support and innovative solutions for housing stability.

To excel as an LTRC Eviction Specialist at Housing Solutions Tulsa, candidates should possess a blend of relevant skills and experiences. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with 1-2 years of experience in case management or a related field, particularly working with low-income individuals facing housing issues. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a significant advantage. The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including judicial officers, court personnel, and community members from varied socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

Candidates must demonstrate a capacity to work cooperatively and sensitively with systemically disadvantaged populations, supporting Housing Solutions' commitment to equity. Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential, as is intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Additionally, maintaining accurate records and exercising sound judgment are critical competencies for success in this role.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-2 years experience in case management or some other closely related field preferred.
• Experience in working with low-income individuals, especially related to housing issues strongly preferred.
• Bi-Lingual in Spanish/English a plus.
• A valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
• Deal tactfully, work cooperatively and professionally, and communicate effectively with judicial officers, court personnel, the public, and justice partners.
• Communicate effectively, neutrally and clearly with individuals of diverse socioeconomic cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including persons with disabilities and non-native English speakers.
• Ability to work with and be sensitive to the needs of diverse, systemically disadvantaged populations and support Housing Solution’s commitment to building equitable systems of care.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast- paced environment while exercising sound judgment.
• Intermediate level of proficiency with computer software programs, specifically Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and Outlook).
• Records maintenance skills.
