PPS is seeking an experience Frame Welder (Welder II) for our semiconductor servicing industry facility in Hillsboro, OR. This is a full time, permanent position with excellent benefits and a high ceiling for growth!


Key Responsibilities:


• Perform MIG and TIG welding on frames, structural components, and fabricated assemblies.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, dimensions, and fabrication requirements.
• Fit, align, clamp, and assemble components prior to welding.
• Perform fabrication activities including measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling, and finishing as required.
• Verify dimensions and alignment using standard measuring tools.
• Inspect completed welds and assemblies for workmanship and
conformance to drawings and specifications.
• Identify drawing, material, or fit-up issues and communicate concerns to the Supervisor or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Complete work in accordance with the production schedule and established priorities.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
Qualifications
• Previous MIG and TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and weld symbols.
• Experience with structural frame fabrication and welded assemblies preferred.
• Experience working with carbon steel and stainless steel preferred.
• Ability to perform accurate layout, fit-up, and dimensional inspection.
• Ability to use tape measures, calipers, squares, levels, and other fabrication tools.
• Ability to work independently while following established production priorities.
• Strong attention to quality, dimensional accuracy, and workmanship.

Preferred Experience:

• 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience fabricating large frames, equipment skids, or industrial assemblies.
• Experience working in a high-mix manufacturing environment.
• Welding certifications are a plus but not required.
