Leasing Agent Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing leasing operations, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations. This position requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.

4. Technical Knowledge

Works well under pressure, uses problem solving skills, and has a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, iPhone, iTunes, and Adobe Acrobat. Working knowledge of typical office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.

5. Drive

Self-motivated with a desire to learn and willing to go above and beyond, works well with minimal or no supervision. Driven to learn more and take on more responsibility.

Duties

  • Greets visitors and residents; maintains a welcoming, and professional demeanor.
  • Takes prospective residents on tours of model/community.
  • Follows up on leads daily through telephone and email inquiries.
  • Data entry.
  • Prepares weekly traffic/renewal status reports.
  • Organizes and maintains resident files with high level of detail.
  • Explains leasing policies to prospective renters.
  • Prepares and processes paperwork such as applications, rental agreements, credit and employment checks and move-in packages.
  • Handles client service requests and corresponds with maintenance personnel to take care of all requests.
  • Maintains current information on vacant units on all marketing mediums.
  • Follow up on work order satisfaction.
  • Helps property achieve and maintain high occupancy rates.
  • All other duties as assigned

Experience

  • Strong customer service skills with a proven ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies to attract potential tenants.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
