Job DescriptionWhat you will be doing
- Supervises all casino cashiers, poker room cashiers and pari-mutuel tellers during their assigned shift.
- Attends to and maintains Ticket Redemption Machines located on the slot floor.
- Ensures that areas of responsibility are adequately staffed, acceptable cash/coin levels are maintained and that superior customer service is provided at all times.
- Assists in developing and coordinating resolutions to any deficiencies identified, providing sound and immediate corrective action.
- Maintains compliance with State regulations, Internal Controls Submissions and ensures that department policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Interacts with casino and poker room customers and employees to ensure that the team is always pleasant and professional while being efficient and effective.
- Assists executive management in formulating gaming objectives, policies and plans.
- Responsible for the timely implementation of all procedural changes.
- Assists cashiers and pari-mutuel tellers in the performance of their duties.
- Ensures that all bank and window openings/closings are performed accurately, expeditiously and smoothly.
- Provides timely leadership, motivation and guidance to direct reports in order to ensure highly effective performance.
- Provides training for direct reports in both customer service and technical areas.
- Prepares currency transactions reports and suspicious activity reports to ensure compliance with Federal Regulation.
- Prepares and issues disciplinary action fairly, consistently and timely.
- Prepares performance evaluations of cashiers and pari-mutuel tellers and ensures timely issuance.
- All other duties assigned.
The ideal candidate for this position
- High School diploma preferred.
- At least two years experience in cashiering (casino or bank) preferred.
- Complete knowledge of Cashiering and/or Pari-mutuel operations.
- Good knowledge of State gaming regulations.
- Must be familiar with operating a PC and currency counting equipment.
- Must speak, read and write in English. Spanish speaking ability is preferred.
- Team work skills are a must.
- Must have a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must apply and obtain the appropriate state occupational gaming license, which includes lifetime FBI criminal background check.
- Must pass drug testing as per company's Drug Free Workplace Policy and applicable background checks.
