Join a collaborative educational team dedicated to supporting students with extensive support needs. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and foster student growth in an engaging learning environment.
Caseload
- Extensive Support Needs (ESN)
- Kindergarten – 4th Grade
- Approximately 14 students
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals.
- Provide specialized academic instruction for students with extensive support needs.
- Collaborate with related service providers, administrators, general education teachers, and families.
- Maintain IEP compliance, monitor student progress, and participate in IEP meetings.
- Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
Qualifications
- Active California Education Specialist Credential – Extensive Support Needs (ESN) or Mod/Severe (Required)
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with students with significant support needs is preferred.
Assignment Details
- Location: Lower Lake, California
- School Year: 2026–2027
- Schedule: Full-Time
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week plus 1 hour for staff meetings
- 186-day work calendar
- Caseload: ESN, Kindergarten–4th Grade (14 students)
- Number of Openings: 1
