Now Hiring:
HJ Development is actively seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Leasing Contract Specialist to support multiple locations with the preparation, review, and management of lease agreements. This role requires a strong understanding of legal terminology and contract language, as well as the ability to collaborate across departments and ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and revise commercial lease agreements and related documents for multiple properties
- Interpret and apply legal language to ensure contracts align with company policies & legal requirements
- Coordinate with property managers, legal counsel & external landlords to facilitate lease negotiations
- Track lease terms, renewal dates, and critical deadlines to ensure timely execution & compliance
- Maintain organized records of all lease documentation & correspondence
- Identify & escalate potential legal or operational risks within lease agreements
- Assist in the deveolpment & implementation of standardized leasing procedures across locations
- Provide guidance & support to internal teams on lease-related inquiries & contract interpretation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, legal studies, real estate, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in lease administration, contract management or real estate operations
- Strong grasp of legal jargon & ability to interpret complex lease language
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- High attention to detail & strong organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and lease management software
Preferred Skills:
- Paralegal certification or legal background
- Experience supporting multi-site operations
- Familiarity with commercial real estate laws & leasing practices
