Overview:
Performs efficient delivery of furniture to customer's sites, including loading and
securing product into the trucks, driving to the customer's sites, unloading and setting in
place or assembling as needed, and getting client sign-off for receipt of product.

Specific Responsibilities:
Delivery Process:
• Reviews daily route sheet for clarity and day's scope of work; ensures that all
required product, equipment, tools and supplies are on truck for day's deliveries.
• Ensures furniture is loaded into truck in delivery sequence and is padded,
strapped, tied-down, balanced and secured so that no damage will occur during
trip to client's site.
• Communicates throughout the day to both dispatch and to customers on status
of deliveries; notifies customer if potentially late to an upcoming stop.
• Delivers product to client site, unloads, meets client or site contact, and places or
assembles product per delivery ticket and/or installation plans.
• On return of truck makes sure any returned product is moved to designated area
and is fully documented; cleans truck of trash and debris which is staged neatly
in designated area.
Driving Skills and Truck Maintenance:
• Is comfortable driving a bobtail, straight or cube truck, and can do so safely while
obeying all traffic rules and being courteous to other drivers on the road.
• Performs daily inspection of vehicle and promptly reports any mechanical or
miscellaneous difficulties; in the event of an accident or mechanical breakdown,
follows company policy exactly including full documentation of incident.
• Keeps full, complete and accurate driving and DOT records; understands basic
DOT driving regulations.
Personal and Interpersonal Skills:
• Is professional in appearance and in manners with good oral and written
communication skills.
• Has physical strength and stamina required to lift and move furniture, boxes and
