  • Support and conduct witness tests, and assist Test Engineers during customer or agency witness testing activities.
  • Design and develop instrumentation setups that incorporate uncertainty analysis to achieve highly accurate testing systems, where applicable.
  • Collect, record, and organize test data using electronic equipment, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Perform physical inspections and functional inspections of electrical components to verify quality and proper operation.
  • Operate test bays, test stations, and associated equipment safely and efficiently during test procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty electrical components and systems based on test results and diagnostic findings.
  • Assess product performance against engineered standards, including UL, CSA, and IEEE standards, as applicable.
  • Review order write-ups and test requirements to ensure a clear understanding of specifications and customer expectations.
  • Operate and verify components and systems to ensure overall product quality and compliance with agency approvals.
  • Configure and connect system equipment such as switchgear, SCCT cabinets, and power ties, and perform preliminary inspections and tests.
  • Collaborate with other engineering and production areas to resolve issues, ensure quality, and support continuous improvement.
  • Follow all safety procedures and best practices when working with AC and DC power, high voltage, and power electronics equipment.
  • Participate in overtime and weekend work as required to meet production and testing schedules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with printed circuit boards (PCB) and related electronic assemblies.
  • Familiarity with test engineering concepts and a desire to progress into a Test Engineering role.
  • Experience with electronic test equipment and electronic testing processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of voltage measurement, power electronics, and transformer operation.
  • Experience working with medium power or medium-voltage electronics is beneficial.
  • Exposure to SCCT cabinets, power ties, and related power distribution equipment.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills and comfort working with high-tech equipment.
  • Interest in supporting data center and critical infrastructure applications.
  • Motivation to grow within the organization, with the potential to move into a Test Engineering role after approximately two years of experience and training.
