Job Summary

The Junior Broadcast Engineer is responsible for providing basic technical support to the Daily operations of a television channel. This role focuses on learning, assisting, and performing tasks Initials related to transmission systems, production, content ingestion, maintenance basic equipment and support to the engineering, master control and production departments.

Main Responsibilities

Technical Transmission Operations

  • Assist in monitoring the transmission signal ( on -air), including video, audio, and subtitles.
  • Report anomalies to the Senior Engineer or Master Control.
  • Support in verifying the quality of content before it goes on air.

Basic Equipment Maintenance

- Support in the maintenance and initial diagnosis of cameras, consoles, monitors and servers.

- Document technical incidents.

Production Department Support

- Assistance with basic equipment installation

- Handling SDI and IP cabling and connections for video and audio production and transmission.

- Repair and maintenance of minor equipment (microphones, lights, tripods, etc.) for the Production Department.

Job Requirements

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Systems or related areas.

Experience

- 0-2 years of experience.

Technical Knowledge

- Video and audio signals.

- Formats and codecs.

- Windows/Linux operating systems.

- Basic network concepts.

- Desirable: basic knowledge of studio equipment and master control.

Skills

- Attention to detail.

- Analytical thinking.

- I work under pressure.

- Effective communication.

- Willingness to learn.

Working Conditions

- Rotating shifts.

- Technical environment (studio, master control and transmission).

- Availability for technical emergencies.
