Job Description

🚀 We’re hiring: Staff Electrical Engineer – Phased Array Unit Lead | Westminster, CO

\n

I’m looking to connect with experienced Electrical/RF Engineers with a strong background in phased array antennas, RF electronics, and space hardware for a technical leadership opportunity in Westminster, Colorado.

\n

This is a hands-on Unit Lead / Responsible Engineer position focused on Ka-band Active Electronically Steered Arrays (AESAs) for advanced spaceborne payloads.

\n

You’ll take technical ownership of a complete phased array product — leading it from architecture and design through integration, qualification, production, and flight readiness.

\n

🛰️ What you’ll be responsible for:

\n

• Leading end-to-end development of Ka-band AESA / phased array systems

\n

• Technical ownership across architecture, design, prototyping, integration and test

\n

• Coordinating multidisciplinary teams across RF, digital, power, mechanical, thermal, software and systems engineering

\n

• Antenna and board-level RF electronics development

\n

• Array control, power conversion and supporting digital electronics

\n

• Active antenna testing, including EIRP and G/T measurements

\n

• Leading environmental qualification including TVAC, vibration, shock and EMC

\n

• Requirements, ICDs, verification plans, risk management and design reviews

\n

• Root cause analysis, anomaly resolution and technical risk mitigation

\n

• Transitioning flight hardware into scalable production

\n

• Communicating technical decisions, risks and progress to customers and leadership

\n

🔧 What we’re looking for:

\n

• 8+ years of electronics hardware engineering experience

\n

• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

\n

• Hands-on experience with active phased array antennas

\n

• Strong expertise in antennas and board-level RF electronics

\n

• Experience testing active antennas and measuring EIRP / G/T

\n

• Understanding of digital/power support circuitry and DFM

\n

• Experience leading or mentoring multidisciplinary engineering teams

\n

• Strong systems engineering, requirements and V&V knowledge

\n

• Excellent technical and customer-facing communication skills

\n

Experience with Ka-band antenna design, flight hardware, radiation-tolerant electronics, NewSpace development, or previous Responsible Engineer / Technical Lead / IPT Lead / Chief Engineer responsibilities would be particularly valuable.
