A respected organization is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Cashier to support daily operations at aquatic facilities in Las Cruces, NM. This position plays a key role in providing excellent customer service while accurately handling financial transactions in a fast-paced and high-traffic environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining professionalism.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Receive and process cash and check payments accurately using a cash register.
- Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
- Balance cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare and maintain daily cash reports and documentation.
- File receipts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Provide prompt, courteous, and professional customer service.
- Respond to customer inquiries and assist with general facility information.
- Follow all policies and procedures related to cash handling and record keeping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work effectively in a busy environment with frequent interruptions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of six (6) months of cashiering or cash handling experience.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
- Ability to operate a cash register, calculator, and basic office equipment.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
