Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript)
Brooklyn Park, MN | Hybrid (Local Only)
Pay Range: $60.15 – $82.71/hour + benefits
Start Date: October 2025
Contract: 6 Months (Direct W2 Only)
About the Role
We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer who thrives on building modern, engaging, and scalable web applications. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in TypeScript and React, who enjoys collaborating across UX, product, and backend teams to create impactful user experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality web applications with React + TypeScript
- Write clean, efficient, and accessible code with performance in mind
- Collaborate with UX designers to create responsive, user-friendly interfaces
- Partner with product managers to influence requirements and deliver features that meet business goals
- Work closely with backend teams to integrate APIs and deliver full-stack solutions
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, UI testing, and peer reviews
- Contribute to agile ceremonies, planning, and estimation
- Help improve engineering standards, tools, and processes
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years in frontend development
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React
- Experience with at least two programming languages and two JavaScript frameworks/libraries (Vue.js, Angular, Svelte, etc.)
- Strong expertise with CSS (pre/post-processors, responsive layouts, advanced styling)
- Solid understanding of Git and version control practices
- Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha) and UI testing tools (Cypress, Playwright)
- Proven track record of working in product-driven teams with UX and product managers
- Understanding of RESTful API development and backend integration patterns
- Familiarity with observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Grafana)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT)
- Familiarity with Java or Kotlin
- Experience working with design systems (Figma, Material UI, Storybook, or internal UI kits)
- Contributions to open-source or personal projects demonstrating frontend expertise
