Member Support Professional - Downtown Boston Program

Job DescriptionThe Member Support Professional role is crucial in developing independence, building confidence, and supporting our Members towards living a full and meaningful life. The position will support adults 18+ with a variety of disabilities.
This position is Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm and located at 75 Federal Street, Boston, MA.
In this role, you will:
● Provide the support needed by guests/members to successfully participate in community and in-house activities according to their personal needs and goals
● Assist guests/members as needed with ADL’s and ILS
● Assist guests /members physically as needed.
● Review assigned members and review ongoing as needed
● Attend weekly staff meeting
● Identify and provide the support needed by members to successfully become a part of the community and to participate in in-house activities according to each person’s
needs, abilities and wishes.
● Implement weekly schedules, menus, and activities.
● Basic Household Tasks and cleanliness of program
Other Duties
● Report any unusual incidents or behaviors to appropriate supervisory personnel and complete incident reports as necessary.
● Review and document shift notes daily for program.
Minimum Required Technical Skills and Qualifications
● Demonstrated background and knowledge of individuals with disabilities
Education/Certifications/Licensure
● CPR/First Aid Certification
High school diploma or GED
Language Skills
● English

● Must be able to see and read fine print; will have close visual contact with a computer monitor constantly.
● Must be able to communicate utilizing a telephone.
● Must have the mobility to allow access to all parts of the Easton office, as well as meet with members, staff and community partners out in the community.
● Must be willing and able to learn all necessary computer functions.
● While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to sit and talk or hear, occasionally required to lift boxes weighing at least 20 lbs., and may use repetitive wrist and hand motions involved in sorting and handling documents.
● Physically assist members as necessary, including but not limited to using the restroom, vehicle transfers and wheelchair transfers.
