Job Description
The Concrete Cutter supports road and bridge work, commercial construction, utility and infrastructure projects, and demolition and renovation. This is a permanent walk behine concrete cutting job with benefits and overtime. Reporting to the site superintendent or foreman, this role operates walk-behind slab saws and performs concrete cutting and core drilling across local job sites, with opportunities to advance to Lead Cutter or Equipment Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Perform concrete cutting and core drilling for construction, infrastructure, and demolition projects.
- Operate walk-behind slab saws and other diamond-cutting equipment.
- Prepare work areas and mark concrete layouts according to project requirements.
- Inspect equipment before use and support routine equipment maintenance.
- Apply dust suppression practices and maintain safe, organized work areas.
- Travel between job sites within the local area.
- Coordinate work activities with the site superintendent and foreman.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in concrete cutting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with diamond saw operation and core drilling.
- Knowledge of concrete layout, dust suppression, and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Understanding of worksite safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and teamwork.
