Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately for all transactions.
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries and resolving any issues.
- Handle cash transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and adherence to company policies.
- Perform merchandising tasks, including stocking shelves and maintaining product displays.
- Upsell products where appropriate to maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store environment.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash flow accurately.
- Experience in merchandising and stocking is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative when necessary.
