Job DescriptionJob Summary: The Harvest Scale Operator is responsible for supporting harvest operations by accurately weighing inbound and outbound loads, maintaining detailed records, and serving as the primary point of contact for growers, carriers, visitors, and internal teams. This role ensures accurate scale transactions, data entry, customer service, and compliance with company procedures while supporting efficient harvest operations. Key Responsibilities: Operate truck scales by accurately weighing inbound and outbound harvest loads. Scale and direct carriers transporting green corn, cobs, soybeans, discard loads, and other harvest materials. Print scale tickets, seed load tickets, and other required documentation. Calculate, verify, and maintain accurate scale records to ensure correct grower and carrier payments. Enter and maintain data in Global Seed systems (Seed Pro, SharePoint) and Microsoft Excel. Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries to appropriate personnel. Greet visitors and contractors while providing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain accurate administrative records and documentation. Ensure confidentiality of business and customer information. Maintain an organized, clean, and professional work area. Communicate effectively with growers, carriers, visitors, and internal departments. Support harvest operations by performing additional administrative and operational duties as assigned by the supervisor. Comply with company safety policies, including seatbelt, mobile device, and workplace safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous administrative or office support experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Experience working with databases or business systems is preferred. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain confidential information. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive computer and keyboard tasks. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
