Materials Team Lead
- Contract to Perm
- Hours: 7:00 am– 3:30 pm or 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Work closely with Materials Supervisor to review daily projects and priorities and help create a healthy environment
- Follow and contribute to production schedule for the execution of projects in a timely manner
- Delegate work instructions and direction to the materials group
- Oversee progress of the materials team and provide guidance as needed
- Share the overall responsibility for shipping and receiving and maintaining and organizing the stockroom
- Monitor materials team during daily activities to ensure adherence to ethics and safety procedures
- Ensure materials needed for cleanrooms are provided in a timely manner
- Upholding high customer service standards for internal and external customers
- Maintain a neat, orderly and clean work area to ensure efficiency and no safety hazards
- Participate in safety programs, meetings, and trainings as required. Bringing safety concerns to the attention of your supervisor and/or safety team
- Enforcing Clean Room integrity by using proper attire and adherence to Clean Room environment practices and procedures as applicable.
- Adhere to general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies and procedures, ISO, QSR, and FDA regulations
- Participate in the execution of any annual and ad-hoc physical inventory and cycle counts
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 1-year lead experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of the medical device regulatory procedures, lean manufacturing, and manufacturing processes preferred
- Medical device manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong ability to motivate, lead, and give directions to team members
- Willingness to undertake various tasks and adapt to unexpected situations within dynamic company environment
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate effectively with all members of the team from various backgrounds
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively relate with team members and the management
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, sit, reach, and use hands for handling tools or materials
- Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs
- Adequate vision capabilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Strong comprehension skills and high levels of general, verbal, and numerical intelligence
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with the Safety Orientation Program
