We are on the hunt for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is a permanent position designed for a dedicated professional with a passion for construction and a deep understanding of project management within the industry. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing large-scale construction projects with a particular focus on highways, roads, and bridges. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership ability, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with tools such as Plangrid, HCSS HeavyJob, and RAM.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all phases of project development from initial conception through to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Developing comprehensive project plans, coordinating with internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution of projects.
- Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Performing risk management to minimize project risks, and creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
- Utilizing industry-specific software, such as Plangrid, HCSS HeavyJob, and RAM, to manage project tasks, track progress, and report on project outcomes.
- Leading and mentoring a team of project managers and other staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Ensuring adherence to all health and safety regulations, and maintaining a safe and risk-free work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven working experience in project management in the construction industry, with a focus on highway, roads, and bridges.
- Solid technical background with hands-on experience in construction and project management software (Plangrid, HCSS HeavyJob, RAM).
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, with proven ability to manage and influence all levels of stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex construction projects.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity, and knowledge of construction safety regulations.
