Job DescriptionWe are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst I in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, located in Houston, Texas. The workplace is a dynamic, remote support environment where you will be part of a team that handles a wide range of support queries.
Responsibilities:
• Providing all-round technical support remotely in a call center environment
• Handling and resolving up to 100 tickets daily, supporting all the sites from Houston
• Utilizing Microsoft and Active Directory among other tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Maintaining detailed documentation of all incoming issues and the steps taken to resolve them, using Confluence for documentation
• Participating in training sessions lasting for 1-2 months to continuously improve technical knowledge
• Promoting a positive culture within the team through effective communication and teamwork
• Assisting in the smooth operation of computer hardware and ensuring any issues are resolved promptly
• Taking part in shift work to ensure 24x7x365 coverage
• Working towards personal growth by taking every opportunity to expand skills and knowledge in various areas.• Proficient knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Suite.
• Demonstrated experience with Active Directory.
• Solid understanding of computer hardware, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a help desk or technical support role.
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and customers.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Knowledge of basic networking principles.
• Familiarity with the energy or natural resources industry is a plus.
• Availability to work in shifts if necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
