Position Summary
Franzenburg is a fast-growing industrial company specializing in centrifuge repair, rebuilds, and field service. As we expand and integrate acquisitions, we are building a stronger office support team.
We are seeking a hands-on Safety Coordinator & HR Specialist to own workplace safety programs and core human resources functions. This dual role is critical for compliance, employee support, and creating the redundancy our growing organization needs.
Key Responsibilities
Safety
• Develop, implement, and maintain company safety programs and policies
• Conduct regular safety training for shop and field employees
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Perform job site and shop safety audits/inspections
• Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, and required documentation
• Coordinate with insurance carriers on claims and loss prevention
• Ensure field technicians have proper PPE, training, and documentation
• Support continuous improvement of safety culture across the organization
Human Resources
• Manage employee onboarding, offboarding, and status changes
• Maintain accurate employee files and HR records
• Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment
• Support recruiting efforts (postings, screening, interview coordination)
• Handle basic employee relations and policy questions
• Track certifications, training records, and compliance requirements
• Help maintain and improve the employee handbook and HR processes
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in safety, HR, or a combination of both
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and basic employment practices
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with shop, field, and office employees
• Comfortable working in both an industrial shop environment and office setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred
• OSHA 30 or similar safety certification
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial services, or field service environments
• HR experience or certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)
• Multi-site or multi-state experience
Compensation & Benefits
• Competitive base salary in the $31-39 an hour range, depending on experience
