Position Summary
The Construction Field Technician is an On Site Construction Worker position that works a full time schedule year round in several components of pool construction to deliver a superior contracting experience to customers. We are willing to train motivated applicants that possess at least 1 year of experience in any trade or general construction position. Plumbing, framing, or electrical experience are all a plus. Our team members work hand in hand with specialty sub-contractors to achieve high quality results that provide a regular sense of achievement as you see the projects come to life. This position is for those candidates who enjoy working outdoors all year long and aren’t phased by working independently in the heat, wind, rain, etc...(You know the weather, you live here). Those candidates that can work 10-12 hour days in season and enjoy the overtime pay. This position requires a versatile person who can adapt to the situation and knows how to step up when it’s time to get things done. If this sounds like you, we need to talk today.

Responsibilities

Work with crew leaders to lay out the project and build pools from start to finish including dirt work, plumbing work, backfilling pool overdig areas, install drainage, small area concrete work, set up pool equipment, and keep a clean job site.
Work on renovation projects to provide measurements, address structural issues, apply waterproofing, replace fixtures, repair plumbing, and install drainage.
Pick up and deliver job materials, help assure quality control, assist with sub-contractors, remove ground water from the work area, pump pools down, dig short trenches where machines can't reach, install form work for concrete collars around pools, install pvc electrical conduit with fixtures, and perform final job site clean ups to get job ready for customer project checkout.
Use our project management app/software to show work performed, document hazards found, and upload photos to show all pertinent jobsite information and daily progress.
Communicate effectively with team members to explain technical information clearly and work together to provide customers with a great experience in dealing with our company.
Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
Assist with overflow in other areas of the company.
Additional projects and responsibilities may be added at the discretion of the company.

Requirements

Must be dependable and possess the ability to work full-time outdoors. This includes being trustworthy, on time, and being the kind of person that is rarely absent from work.
Must have at least 1 year of experience working outside on a daily basis in any trade or general construction position. Field Technicians, Construction Workers, Trade Apprentices or similar roles where mechanical and production skills can succeed in a hot weather environment.
Must be able to pay attention to detail and follow directions well.
Must have strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members with a good attitude.
Must have a working cell phone with an internet connection, GPS, and the ability to take quality photos. You'll need to be able to operate your phone as needed to work within our project management app. (All overages are reimbursed.)
Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
Must have a willingness to travel to our job sites daily within Mobile and Baldwin Counties as required for job assignments. Ask about our mileage reimbursement policy.
