Role Description The Licensed Therapist is a full-time, on-site role based in Rockville, MD. The therapist provides individual and group counseling to clients in intensive outpatient programs, aftercare services, and standard therapy sessions. Daily responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, documenting clinical progress, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary team members. The therapist offers psychoeducation on addiction, coping skills, relapse prevention, and recovery resources, while maintaining ethical and professional standards of practice. The role also involves participating in case consultations, contributing to program development, and supporting clients through crisis intervention and ongoing therapeutic support.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure as an LPC, LCPC, LCSW, LCSW-C, LMFT, or equivalent behavioral health license; eligibility for Maryland licensure required.

• Demonstrated skills in individual, group, and family therapy within addiction or behavioral health settings.

\n

• Experience with assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions for substance use and co-occurring disorders.

\n

• Strong documentation, case management, and organizational skills within clinical or community mental health environments.

\n

• Ability to work collaboratively with medical providers, peer support specialists, and external referral partners.

\n

• Excellent communication skills, trauma-informed practice, and a person-centered, culturally responsive approach.

\n

• Comfort with using electronic health record systems and basic computer applications for scheduling and documentation.

\n

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; prior addiction treatment experience strongly preferred.
