About the Role:

The Legal Assistant/PreSuit Secretary in the Personal Injury sector plays a crucial role in supporting attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes. This position is responsible for managing case files, conducting legal research, and preparing necessary documentation for pre-suit activities. The ideal candidate will facilitate communication between clients, attorneys, and external parties, ensuring that all information is accurate and timely. By maintaining organized records and adhering to compliance policies, the Legal Assistant will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the legal team. Ultimately, this role is vital in helping clients navigate their legal challenges and achieve favorable outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role within a law firm or legal environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in personal injury law or a related legal field.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools and databases.
  • Bilingual - Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents and correspondence related to personal injury cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and provide relevant information.
  • Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Facilitate communication with clients, medical providers, and other external parties to gather necessary information.
  • Maintain compliance with legal policies and procedures while ensuring regular and reliable attendance.

Schedule:
