Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:
The Retail Merchandising Associate supports the growth and performance of our Missouri retail locations by analyzing sales and customer data, managing product information, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams. This role partners closely with store leadership to improve product availability, pricing, and promotions while ensuring excellent customer experience. Additional responsibilities include supporting product ownership activities (including pricing and assortment decisions), planning and executing special events and promotions, and providing go-to-market support for new products. You will collaborate with store managers, retail staff, and the warehouse team to track new-product performance, maintain accurate vendor and product data, and help ensure consistent product availability. This role requires staying current on vape industry compliance and building strong vendor relationships to improve product knowledge, sales, margin, and customer loyalty. This role requires signing a Non-Disclosure and Non-Compete Agreement prior to hire.

JOB TYPE: Full-time (Exempt) – Reporting to the Product Manager – Retail Stores
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate with vendors (email, phone) regarding product information, pricing, availability, and issues.
- Analyze sales, inventory, and budget data to identify trends and support reporting.
- Learn and use Lightspeed POS to track and report product and sales trends across multiple locations and states.
- Conduct market and vendor research (average market price, product comparisons, and vendor details).
- Support inventory assessments by reviewing counts, variances, and replenishment needs.
- Support product assortment, pricing, and availability decisions using sales, inventory, and market data.
- Monitor trends and performance; build and share clear reports for store leadership.
- Research competitive pricing and vendor offerings; recommend adjustments as needed.
- Maintain accurate product and vendor data, including new, discontinued, or recalled items.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues, confirm availability, and escalate concerns promptly and professionally.
- Partner with store managers to plan and execute promotions, advertising initiatives, and special events.
- Collaborate with warehouse and store teams to support inventory accuracy, replenishment planning, and product flow.
- Use Lightspeed POS and other tools to track product performance across multiple locations.
- Communicate effectively across store teams and support departments via reports, meetings, and virtual correspondence.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong analytical skills (sales/inventory/trend analysis) with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including vendor and cross-team coordination.
- Proven ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills and customer-service mindset.
- Proficiency with common business software (spreadsheets, presentations, reporting tools); ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel) and SharePoint.
EXPERIENCE
Required
- 1 year of experience in business, retail operations, product support, or a related field.
EDUCATION
Required
- High School Diploma
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related area (Marketing, Retail Management, Logistics Management, Purchasing, Procurement, etc.)
- Entrepreneurial experience managing a successful business enterprise.
