Cargas is hiring a Technical Support Engineer to support customers using our proprietary software, Cargas Energy. In this role, you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving customer issues by debugging SQL, JavaScript, and .NET code. This position blends technical problem-solving with a strong focus on delivering high-quality customer care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, accurate responses to customer support tickets.
  • Debug SQL procedures, JavaScript, and .NET code to identify and resolve issues.
  • Troubleshoot, configure, and monitor SQL Server performance; recommend improvements where appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities within the codebase to enhance stability and improve the customer experience.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base, including scripts, common fixes, and how-to documentation.
  • Develop practical workarounds for issues outside of Cargas’ control (e.g., hardware constraints).
  • Apply customer insights and awareness of emerging technologies to recommend product enhancements to the Product Development team.

Experience We Value

  • Bachelor’s degree (or a combination of education and relevant experience).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with SQL, .NET, JavaScript, databases, and related applications.
  • Customer-facing or technical support experience.
  • Ability to learn new technical concepts quickly and use available resources to find solutions.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong listening, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Bonus: Experience mentoring others in technical areas.
