Maintenance Technician

1st OR 3rd Shift/ $24-$39hr/ Full Time

Indianapolis, IN

Overview:

Aegis Worldwide is currently partnered with a manufacturer that will bring circularity and scale tothe plastics recycling industry,producing more than 300 million pounds of high-quality recycled plastics every year.

Requirements:

Must have High School diploma or of equivalent value.
Must have completed vocational school Industrial Maintenance program or have two years (minimum) work experience in the field of Industrial Maintenance.
Ability to operate a fork truck and articulate boom.
Must possess excellent interpersonal, people management and problem solving skills.
Ability to read, speak and write English efficiently preferred.
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Detail oriented and ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities:

Ensure all equipment, building and plant operations are SAFE and in good working condition.
Plan, organize and execute tasks and/or repairs.
Implement engineering changes to equipment as necessary.
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and execution of installations of new and existing equipment.
Work with Contractors, Vendors, OEM Suppliers and Machine Shops as necessary.
Coordinate parts orders as needed for repairs and projects.
Ensure schedule and delivery of parts and equipment are communicated as needed to eliminate down time.
Execute planned downtime routine activities such as grinder blade changes or extruder screw changes.
Lead ‘heavy’ repair tasks such as large bearing changes or extruder gearbox changes.
Create and track performance data points for equipment when needed. Demonstrate skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Coordinate with maintenance manager to build and maintain the CMMS program
