Role Objective:
The Aviation Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory, and management of all aviation parts and supplies necessary for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of Fly Alliance’s fleet. This role will ensure that all parts are in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards, managing both internal and external suppliers to support the operational needs of the company.
Essential Job Tasks:
- Manage the procurement, ordering, and inventory of aviation parts and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure timely availability of parts for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Develop and manage relationships with parts suppliers, ensuring the best pricing, quality, and lead times.
- Track and report inventory levels and usage patterns, implementing strategies to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Oversee the inspection and quality control of incoming parts and materials.
- Supervise a team of parts clerks or assistants (if applicable), ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow.
- Provide reports on parts inventory, procurement status, and other metrics to senior management.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance and Engineering teams to forecast future part needs based on fleet utilization and upcoming maintenance schedules.
- Resolve discrepancies and issues related to parts procurement or inventory.

Work Authorization:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Work Environment:
- This role is based in an office and warehouse environment with occasional exposure to hangar and aircraft maintenance areas.
- The position may require visits to maintenance facilities, suppliers, or other company locations.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as stocking and organizing parts.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
- Occasional travel to various company locations or suppliers may be required.
Travel:
- Occasional travel may be required for supplier meetings, inventory management, or inter-office coordination.
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in aviation parts management or related fields, preferably within a Part 135 or Part 145 environment.
- Familiarity with aircraft maintenance procedures and parts inventory management.
- Knowledge of aviation industry safety standards and regulations.
