Position Summary:
Were seeking a positive and motivated individual who embodies our Core Values of Consistency, Adaptability, Reliability, and Teamwork (CART) to join our team as a Furniture Repair Technician. This role is part of our Equipment Prep Department and is responsible for performing alterations on new products and restoring damaged, worn, or used furniture to like-new condition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all stages of the finishing process, including prep, staining, priming, painting, sealing, scuffing, and top coating.
- Apply finishing materials using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other tools.
- Repair or replace damaged furniture components.
- Complete wood repairs such as filling, gluing, color matching, and restoring structural integrity.
- Repair leather and vinyl materials, including sewing, patching, and refinishing as needed.
- Restore upholstered furniture, including fabric repairs, sewing, and flocking velvet materials.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Work Conditions:
- Work is performed in a clean, well-lit warehouse; some areas may lack heating or air conditioning.
- Must follow all company safety procedures; PPE and training are provided.
- Frequent physical activity including bending, lifting, and repetitive movements.
- Must be able to frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs using proper techniques.

Schedule & Pay:
- Pay: $18 $22 per hour, based on experience.
- Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30am 5:00pm.
- Overtime may be required during peak season (April October).
- Occasional evening and weekend availability depending on workload.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience in woodworking, furniture repair, leatherwork, or finish carpentry preferred.
- High school diploma or GED; 35 years of related experience/training, or equivalent combination.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be physically capable of standing, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks.
- Must complete a 5-minute Behavioral Assessment (Predictive Index).
- Must pass a company background check and drug screen.
