Job Summary
The Leasing Consultant is responsible for creating a welcoming experience for prospective residents while supporting the day-to-day leasing operations of the community. This role includes greeting potential renters, conducting apartment tours, assisting current residents, and guiding applicants through the leasing process from inquiry to move-in.
Leasing professionals will also promote available units through marketing efforts such as social media advertising, outreach calls, and lead follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet prospective residents and provide exceptional customer service
- Conduct apartment tours and highlight unit features, community amenities, pricing, and lease terms
- Pre-screen applicants by verifying income and other qualifying criteria
- Complete guest cards for walk-ins and phone inquiries and enter information into the property management system daily
- Process rental applications and prepare leasing documentation
- Coordinate move-ins and assist with lease renewals
- Respond to resident concerns and submit maintenance work orders when needed
- Inspect apartments during move-in and move-out
- Ensure all leasing paperwork is complete and submitted for manager approval
- Walk new residents through their apartment during move-in orientation
- Maintain model units and ensure they are clean, organized, and ready for daily tours
- Promote available apartments through social media, cold calls, and follow-ups with prospective leads
What We’re Looking For
- Previous Leasing Consultant or Leasing Professional experience in a multifamily community
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to start immediately
